Self-Worth and Procrastination

You deserve a life that is fulfilling. Are you allowing it to be?

Self-worth is a lifelong battle for most of us. It's a conversation I like to revisit often, as the work is never truly over.

Are you working too hard? Are you working hard enough? Both could be a self-worth issue if we take a minute to reflect on 'why.' Take your time and ask yourself a sincere question for me please: 'Do I deserve to be happy?'.

No, actually take a minute and ask yourself. Take your time; I'll wait. ♥

You and I both know the answer should be yes. However, suppose you felt any hesitation in your body at all. In that case, I want you to remember that feeling so we can begin to rework this mindset together. Because you deserve to be happy, I would like for all of us to start living like it.

Take some time to look closely at your daily habits. Search for any harmful patterns you can find. Let's use procrastination as an example. Take a second and go within again. Ask yourself: why are you procrastinating? It's not something I can answer for you, but sometimes it's for fear of succeeding or even fear of failing. You deserve to try, to 'do the thing,' create and thrive! To gift yourself the chance, you will need to stop putting off the things you are passionate about and enjoy. It's ok if that's easier said than done. That's why we're here.

Self-Worth Dressed Candle

I was inspired to share some candle magick with you all today. Reflecting on everything I want for us, I searched around the apothecary for some ideas. This ritual's design is to welcome in a warm wave of unconditional, unshakable self-love protected from even our inner voices. Here are some guidelines to dress a candle in honor of this change.

You may use the herbs rosemary and rose or coconut oil as substitutes for things you may not have around the house.

Ingredients & Correspondences

  • Basil & Chamomile- to welcome and invite in feelings of kindness, understanding, and love for the self
  • Cinnamon- comforting warmth and healing for the wounded inner child
  • Juniper Berries - protection from our negative thoughts
  • Attraction Oil - to act as a magnetic pull for these intentions, to draw them toward us with open arms
  • Pink, Orange, or White Candle

**** Use as much or as little of this guideline as you like. Make it unique to you, your capabilities, and your practice if you are comfortable doing so.♡ ****

  1. Cleanse your tools, the candle, and anything you're using for this ritual today
  2. Clear your mind. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Envision yourself in a golden egg of light. Allow the visualized light to charge your intentions with you and to protect you from unwanted energy interfering with this practice.
  3. Hold the candle in both hands and bring it up to your heart space. Please do this as long as it takes you to get into a headspace, ready to receive loving energy for yourself.
  4. Rub your hands together until there is just a little warmth in between them. This gathers the energy you will use to wake up the herbs.
  5. Place your dominant hand hovering over the herbs and bring your attention to each herb one at a time. Say each of the herbs and their intentions for this candle. I listed each correspondence next to their names earlier to assist you with this step.
  6. Lightly shake the oil to wake it up, drop a couple of drops over the herbs and massage it with your fingers. While you are doing this step- visualize and focus on the intentions that you have. Picture them being drawn into this space and your life by the candle. We are preparing this flame and candle to act as a magnet for the vibration of your intention.
  7. If you have a torch lighter, you can use the flame to melt the top of the candle and sprinkle the herb mixture into the liquified wax. You can create a circle around the candle with the herbs as a substitute for this step if you like.
  8. Light the candle and write a letter to yourself. I have some affirmations below this post for you to use if you wish to.
  9. Keep it by you while it burns for both fire safety and energetic reasons. If you need to at any time, snuff out the candle and light again the following day. Light it for as many days as it takes to complete the candle. You can say the affirmations as many times as you feel called.

       I love myself.
I love my body and all it provides for me.
I love my spirit, everything it stands for and cares for.
I love my mind; I celebrate its power and all it is capable of creating.
I will be kind and gentle to my body, mind, and soul.
I am worthy of my best efforts.
I am worthy of success and fulfilling life.
∞ As above, so below. ∞

Note that when a candle jar that has herbs inside gets low, you need to pay special attention to it. When you have seen that the wax has evaporated and the herbs at the bottom are burning, it is time to snuff out the flame (if not a little sooner than that). If you allow it to burn without wax, you will soon have broken glass. Always use fire safety when dealing with candles and be kind to yourself.

      All my love,

      Milo
